Boquete is home to the world's most sought-after coffee, including the legendary Geisha variety that sold for $13,518 per kilogram at auction in 2024. The volcanic soil, high altitude, and unique microclimate create perfect conditions for exceptional arabica beans. This tour takes you inside a working coffee farm to understand why Panama's coffee commands such premium prices.

What You'll Experience

• Farm Tour: Walk through the coffee plantation on the slopes of Volcán Barú. See Geisha, Typica, Bourbon, and other varieties growing in their natural environment.
• Harvest to Cup: Learn the entire process—picking, pulping, fermenting, drying, roasting, and brewing. Understand why different processing methods create different flavors.
• Expert Tasting Session: Sample multiple varieties and roasts. Learn proper cupping technique and how to identify flavor notes like jasmine, bergamot, and tropical fruit.
• Meet the Farmers: Hear from the families who have been growing coffee in Boquete for generations.

• 8:30 AM – Pickup from Boquete town center
• 9:00 AM – Arrive at coffee farm
• 9:00 - 11:00 AM – Farm tour and processing demonstration
• 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM – Tasting session
• 12:30 PM – Return to Boquete

• Wear comfortable walking shoes—terrain can be uneven
